Every year lakhs of devotees come to the Jagannath Rath Yatra. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaihnaw said that the railways is making special preparations for Lord Jagannath’s Rath Yatra. About 315 special trains will be run for this.
Jagannath Ratha Yatra 2024: Jagannath Rath Yatra has special significance for the devotees of Lord Jagannath, which is starting from 7th July this year. In such a situation, lakhs of devotees come every year from the country and abroad. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaihnaw has given a special gift to the devotees of Lord Jagannath. The Railway Minister said that the Railways is making special preparations for the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. For this, about 315 special trains will be run. He said that special arrangements are being made for a total of 15 thousand devotees.
315 special trains will run for devotees
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “Special arrangements are being made by the Railways for the Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath. There will be 315 special trains. A holding area is being created for 15,000 people. At the same time, toilet complexes are also being prepared for the people.”
What is Jagannath Rath Yatra?
Jagannath Rath Yatra is a very special and religiously important journey for Hindus. Every year Lord Jagannath along with his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra set out on the Rath Yatra from the Jagannath Temple in Puri city of Odisha. The famous Rath Yatra of Puri takes place every year on the second day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Ashadh. This year this Rath Yatra will take place on 7 July 2024.
Auspicious time of Jagannath Rath Yatra 2024
Jagannath Rath Yatra will be taken out from 04:28 am on 7 July 2024, which will run till 05:01 am on 8 July 2024. After this, the Rath Yatra will reach the house of Lord Jagannath’s aunt i.e. Gundicha Temple. Where after a week’s rest, the Lord will return to the Jagannath temple on July 16.
