The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert today and tomorrow. That is, there are signs of good rain on both days. There is a yellow alert in Delhi till July. There was rain in many areas of Delhi yesterday as well. Due to which traffic was affected in many areas. Monsoon has stopped after heavy rain in Delhi on June 28.
These states will also receive rain today
According to the Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy rains are possible in Northeast India, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Western Uttar Pradesh, North Punjab, North Haryana and Uttarakhand in the next 24 hours. Apart from these states, Bihar, Jharkhand, Delhi, Gujarat, Coastal Karnataka, Konkan and Goa and Andaman and Nicobar Islands may receive light to moderate rains with heavy rains at some places.
Torrential rain in Himachal, 115 roads closed
115 roads were closed after heavy rains in many parts of Himachal Pradesh. The Shimla Meteorological Department on Thursday issued an orange alert and warned of heavy to very heavy rain at isolated places, and lightning at some places till Friday. The 115 closed roads include 107 in Mandi, 4 in Chamba, 3 in Solan and 1 in Kangra district.
Officials said that a section of the Chandigarh-Manali four-lane road between Mandi and Pandoh has developed cracks and is sinking, due to which one-way traffic has been allowed from Wednesday. The Meteorological Department has issued an ‘aloe alert’ for heavy rain on Saturday and Sunday.
Monsoon makes weather pleasant in Rajasthan
Due to the activity of monsoon in many parts of Rajasthan, the maximum temperature has dropped by up to 10 degrees Celsius. Yesterday, light to moderate rain was recorded at some places and heavy rain at some places. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a strong possibility of monsoon being active in Rajasthan for the next two-three days. During this time, light to moderate rain is likely at many places in Jaipur, Bharatpur, Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota divisions and heavy rain at some places.
