In which states assembly elections are to be held?
According to the Election Commission of India, elections will be held on July 10 for a total of 13 assembly seats in Bihar, West Bengal, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh. After the elections on these assembly seats, the results will be declared on July 13.
That means banks, schools, colleges and offices will remain closed in those assembly constituencies of these 7 states where elections are to be held. Apart from this, voters of these constituencies who are outside their assembly constituencies will also get leave to vote.
Where is the holiday on July 10 in Himachal Pradesh?
By-elections will be held on July 10 in three assembly seats of Himachal Pradesh – Dehra, Hamirpur and Nalagarh. Voting will be held in these three areas on this day. On this day, there will be a holiday in all departments, boards, corporations, schools-colleges and factories in the state and the salary of any employee will not be cut.
Holiday in Punjab and Uttarakhand too
Elections are also to be held on July 10 in Jalandhar assembly seat of Punjab and due to this, a holiday has been declared for the people here.
Due to the by-elections in Badrinath assembly constituency and Mangalore assembly constituency of Uttarakhand, special paid holiday has been declared on July 10 for those who are working in Sirmaur and Shimla and are registered voters in Uttarakhand.
