WhatsApp Banking Service needs to be activated in mobile
If you want to avail the benefits of SBI’s WhatsApp Banking Service, you need to activate this service in your mobile. For this, write ‘WAREG Account Number’ from your registered number and send it to +917208933148. For example, if your account number is 123456789, then you will write WAREG 123456789 and send an SMS to +917208933148. After registration, a message will be sent on your mobile.
When the registration is confirmed by the message, then write ‘Hi’ and send it to 9022690226 from your WhatsApp number. After this, 3 options will be sent on WhatsApp from the bank – Get Balance, Get Mini Statement and Other Services. You can choose the option as per your requirement.
Another way is to visit this link https://sbi.co.in/hi/web/personal-banking/digital/whatsapp-banking and scan the QR using your mobile number. After this, send ‘Hi’ to +919022690226 and follow the instructions given by the chat-bot.
