Raipur-Balodabazar National Highway will be expanded to four lanes in Chhattisgarh. Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma has thanked CM Vishnudev Sai, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw for approving this project. He has also congratulated the local residents.
National Highway: Currently, this highway is a two-lane highway. It is being renovated to reduce heavy traffic on National Highway 130B. This route is important as it passes through major cement and other industries. The expansion will ease travel between Raipur and Balodabazar and reduce accidents.
The Ministry of Surface Transport, Government of India has sanctioned Rs 1494 crore for this project. In the first phase, a distance of 53.1 km from Vidhansabha Raipur will be covered, which will cost Rs 844 crore. In the second phase, a distance of 53.1 km to 85.6 km will be covered, which will cost Rs 650 crore.
On the instructions of CM Vishnudev Sai, Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma discussed the upgradation of the road with Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, who agreed to the proposal. This cooperation reflects commitment to improving infrastructure in the region.
