The UP government has issued an order to give the benefit of increase in DA to the employees of the 5th Pay Commission. Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar has issued an order in this regard. Employees of the 5th Pay Commission, who till now used to get DA at the rate of 427 percent. With an increase of 16 percent, they will now get DA at the rate of 443 percent.
DA Hike in UP: This benefit will be available only to employees who have not taken advantage of the revised salary structure from January 1, 2007. State employees who are working in this salary recommended by the 5th Central Pay Commission and implemented by the state government, will get the benefit of this increased DA from January 1, 2024.

The amount of DA payable at the revised rate from January 1 to May 31 will be given in the form of PF, PPF or NSC of the employees. 10 percent of the remaining amount of the employees covered under the National Pension Scheme will be deposited in their Tier 1 pension account. The remaining 90 percent amount will be deposited in the PPF of the employees or will be given in the form of NSC.
DA of All India Service officers increased
The Finance Department has issued an order to give DA at the increased rate to those officers of All India Service posted in the state who are receiving 2nd, 5th and 6th Pay Commission. Additional Chief Secretary Finance Deepak Kumar has issued an order to this effect.
