Citibank Credit Cards: According to the FAQ issued by Axis Bank, even after July 15, all the benefits offered by Axis Bank will continue to be available on existing Citibank cards until a new card is received.
Bank Migrated: Private sector Axis Bank has said that the merger of Citibank’s credit card will be completed by July 15. To avoid any problem for the customers, Axis Bank has also made available all the answers (FAQ) related to it on its website. According to this, even after July 15, all the benefits provided by Axis Bank will continue to be available on the existing cards of Citibank till the new card is received.
Axis Bank issued FAQ regarding the question of Citibank customers
Question- Will I be able to access my Citibank savings account through Axis Bank Internet Banking?
Answer- Yes, after migration to Axis Bank you will be able to access all the previous data of your Citibank savings account through Axis Bank Internet Banking and Mobile Banking App.
Question- I have accounts in Citibank and Axis Bank. Will my customer ID be the same for all my accounts for net banking?
Answer- After migration, the accounts will be merged under a common customer ID, which will be used for digital banking.
Question- Will my customer ID change after the transfer of business?
Answer- Yes, you will get a new customer ID on transfer to Axis Bank.
Question- I have accounts in both Axis Bank and Citibank. What will happen to these accounts? Do I have to close one account?
Answer- No, you do not need to close any account as after migration, Citibank accounts will be migrated to Axis Bank system and merged under a common customer ID. As per regulatory guidelines, you have to close one account for BSBDA account.
Question- I have closed my Citibank and I need information related to closure. I want to know the status of funds and how to view them?
Answer- If the account is closed before 1 March 2023, please write to [email protected]. You can visit any Axis Bank branch to inform about the closure effective from 1st March 2023.
