Amazon Pay Delhi Metro: Officials said that with the help of this unique ticketing system, passengers can buy metro tickets on the go. This provides a quick, contactless and hassle-free experience for millions of users who travel daily by Delhi Metro.
Amazon Pay Delhi Metro: Delhi Metro passengers can now get QR tickets on their mobile phones through the online payment platform ‘Amazon Pay’. For this, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) announced a partnership with Amazon Pay on Thursday. For this, the customer has to choose the option of Delhi Metro QR ticket under the Amazon Pay tab. Then they have to select the stations ‘from where’ and ‘to where’. They can make online payment and get the QR ticket immediately on their mobile phone.
Traveling becomes easier
According to officials, passengers will have to place their smartphone in front of the QR code scanner at the Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) gate to enter and exit the metro stations. DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar said on this occasion, “Partnering with Amazon Pay for QR tickets will make daily travel more efficient and convenient. It provides convenience, reduces paper wastage and supports our environment-friendly efforts.”
About 65 lakh passengers daily
Amazon Pay India Director Anuradha Agarwal said, “We are excited to launch the Metro QR ticket system on Amazon Pay, which will make travel easier for millions of people. This eliminates the need to take tokens and return change while purchasing tickets.” DMRC Principal Executive Director Anuj Dayal said that the Metro transports about 65 lakh passengers to their destinations every day on various routes of Delhi-NCR. In such a situation, this new ticket system will prove to be very convenient for them.
