State Bank of India, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and Citibank Credit Card have changed their credit card rules. The new rules will be effective from July 1, 2024.

The State Bank of India has notified its millions of customers that from July 1, 2024, certain credit cards will no longer earn reward points on government transactions. ICICI Bank Credit Card Charges
ICICI Bank, a major private bank, has revised several of its credit card policies, effective July 1, 2024. Notably, the card replacement fee for all cards, except the Emerald Private Metal Credit Card, will be increased from 100 rupees to 200 rupees.
These charges on credit card will be discontinued
- The charge of Rs 100 on cheque or cash pick up has been discontinued.
- The charge of Rs 100 on charge slip request has been discontinued.
- The deduction of 3% of the draft value amount with a minimum cost of Rs 300 will be discontinued.
- In addition, 1% of the cheque value, with a minimum of Rs 100, will be discontinued.
- The charge of Rs 100 on duplicate statement will be discontinued.
Citibank Credit Card
Axis Bank has notified Citibank credit card users regarding the migration of their accounts, which is anticipated to be finalized by July 15, 2024. In an email to Citibank credit cardholders, Axis Bank stated that all migrations, including credit cards, would be completed by July 15, 2024. It also mentioned that Citibank-branded cards would continue to work smoothly until customers receive their new Axis Bank cards a few months after the migration (by the year’s end). Points accrued until the migration date will not expire, while points earned post-migration will expire after three years.
