Monsoon clouds have reached various parts of the country, bringing heavy downpours. Continuous rainfall is observed. Due to heavy rainfall in Northern and Central India, including Delhi, the situation has become inundated.
Weather Update: In Delhi, heavy rainfall has caused flood-like conditions on roads. Meanwhile, the weather department has issued an alert for the next two days. It warns of heavy rainfall in Delhi-NCR. There is also an anticipation of heavy showers in the capital on Sunday. An orange alert has been issued due to the rainfall.

- Heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy (115.5-204.4 mm) rain is very likely at isolated places in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh during June 30 to July 2. Heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy rain (115.5-204.4 mm) with extremely heavy rain (>204.4 mm) is very likely at isolated places over Assam and Meghalaya on 29th June.
- Light to moderate rain with heavy rain at some places is possible over Sikkim, Assam, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Telangana, Odisha, parts of Telangana and Jharkhand
- Heavy (64.5-115.5 mm) to very heavy rain (115.5-204.4 mm) with extremely heavy rain (>204.4 mm) at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh on 29th and 30th June, 2024.
Monsoon clouds arrive in these states
Monsoon completely covered Uttarakhand, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Bihar on Friday morning. It also entered Haryana today. It has also advanced in some parts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh. Now there are only some parts of Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana where monsoon has not yet reached.
88 years old record broken in the capital Delhi
The Meteorological Department said that the capital Delhi received 228 mm of rain in 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday to 8:30 am on Friday, which was a record. The highest rainfall in a day in the month of June has occurred here after 88 years. Before this, 235.5 mm of rain was recorded in 24 hours in June 1936.
