VIVO launches waterproof smartphone: Vivo has introduced its latest feature-rich smartphone. Named Vivo V40, this smartphone features 80-watt fast charging. Notably, the company has decided to exclude the charger from the smartphone’s package, necessitating separate purchase.
This decision reflects a shift where Chinese smartphone brands, once reluctant to remove chargers from boxes, are now following in the footsteps of Apple and Samsung.
After Apple opted to exclude chargers from their packaging, Samsung was quick to follow suit. Initially starting with flagship phones, Samsung later implemented this approach with the Galaxy A series as well.
The new Vivo V40 packs specifications similar to the Vivo S19. Both smartphones support 80W charging. However, the Chinese variant includes a charger, whereas the global base variant of the smartphone does not include 8GB RAM and 256GB in its case.
Meanwhile, it includes 12GB RAM and 512GB in the higher-end models. Additionally, the global variant has a 500mAh smaller battery capacity compared to the Chinese variant. The V40 features a 5500mAh battery.
